18 September 2026
Culture Night Event: 18th of September from 7pm to 9pm.
Come and experience a hands-on community workshop using natural, low-impact materials such as clay and willow to sculpt a unique garden feature onto a traditional wattle and daub frame.
Working together, you’ll discover the traditional craft of wattle and daub, discuss the mud-walled dwellings typical of Wexford’s built heritage, and learn how these sustainable building methods could inspire the future. Along the way, you’ll also discover some of the Irish-language words associated with the materials and techniques used.
The workshop will be led by artists Geraldine Cussen and Imogen Stafford.
