The National 1798 Rebellion Centre’s “Online Tour” and Resources is an amazing learning tool not just for the classroom.

We are using Patreon, a membership platform, that allows us to bring the tour (and added extras) to you directly in a safe way, whether it’s your home or classroom. Included within tier 1 (€8 per month) is our “Online Tour”. This is a fully guided tour of our award-winning exhibition. Available on all devices, this fascinating resource will not only help teachers to enhance the politics, conflict and society strand of the history syllabus, it will also bring these historic times to life. Guiding you through this historic time, from the age of revolution right up to the final days and aftermath of the 1798 rebellion, is our experienced and knowledgeable tour guide Derek Meyler.

Tier two (€12 per month) offers the added bonus of our “Weapons Display”. A fascinating insight into the warfare of the era, with in-depth knowledge on how weaponry was utilized by both sides of the Rebellion.

Tier three (€20 per month) then incorporates all the National 1798 Rebellion Centre has to offer in the way of resources. Ideal for Schools, it gives access to our online tour, weapons display and our comprehensive educational resource. The educational resource gives great details on, the age of revolution, late eighteenth-century Ireland, Theobald Wolfe Tone, countdown to rebellion, outbreak of rebellion, the rebellion in county Wexford, the Wexford leaders, the final days and aftermath of the 1798 rebellion. An ideal way of enhancing a curriculum.
