The 1798 Rebellion Educational Resource Pack

Through our newly developed exhibition, ‘Rebellion Experience’, the Politics, Conflict and Society strand of your history syllabus is dramatically brought to life, giving each student an appreciation of social strife during 18th century Ireland.

As part of this experience we offer an educational resource that can be used by teachers to enhance their current curriculum. This educational resource details, the age of revolution, late eighteenth century Ireland, Theobald Wolfe Tone, countdown to rebellion, outbreak of rebellion, the rebellion in county Wexford, the Wexford leaders, the final days and aftermath of the 1798 rebellion.
